Couver Evidence

Terms of Use

For the people who use Couver Evidence: in the browser, through the API, and through AI assistants.

Effective 18 October 2026

Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to you if an organisation that has an agreement with Couver gives you access to Couver Evidence (“your organisation”). They apply however you use it: in the browser, through the API or a personal token, or through an AI assistant such as the Couver Evidence agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or another app that connects over MCP. By using Couver Evidence you accept these terms.

Your organisation’s agreement

Your organisation’s agreement with Couver governs the service. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement prevails.

Your access

Your access is your organisation’s to give, change and end. It decides how you sign in, your role, and which sources you can search. Questions about your access go to your organisation’s owners or administrators.

Acceptable use

Use Couver Evidence only for your organisation’s purposes. Do not:

  • try to reach documents you are not allowed to see;
  • share your account, your password or your tokens;
  • try to get round access controls;
  • test the service’s security without your organisation’s written permission (if you come across a vulnerability, report it to security@couver.ai and do not use it further);
  • overload the service;
  • use it for anything against the law.

AI assistants

  • Connecting an assistant is your choice. It can search and read what you may see, as you, and nothing more. If your organisation allows it, it can also take a copy of a file you may open into its own workspace, where the assistant provider’s terms apply.
  • The assistant provider’s own terms, and your organisation’s policies, apply to your use of the assistant.
  • You can disconnect an assistant at any time on the Agents page.
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude are products of their owners, who do not make or endorse Couver Evidence.
  • What the server receives from an assistant, and what happens to the conversation, is in the Privacy Policy.

Answers and AI-written text

Results, summaries, descriptions and an assistant’s answer can be wrong. Results cite the page they come from: check the source before you rely on them. Nothing Couver Evidence or an assistant gives you is professional advice, and Couver is not responsible for what an assistant says or does with the results.

Your organisation’s content

Your organisation’s content stays your organisation’s. Couver uses it only to provide the service and never to train models. How it is handled is in the Privacy Policy, and how it is protected is on the Trust & Security page.

Couver’s software

Couver Evidence, its software and its documentation belong to Couver. Use them only as your organisation’s agreement allows, and do not copy, change or reverse engineer the software, except as the law allows.

Suspension

Couver or your organisation may suspend your access, a connected assistant or a token to protect the service or its data, for example during a security incident or after a breach of these terms. Your access also ends when your organisation’s agreement or licence ends.

Responsibility

Couver provides the service to your organisation under its agreement, which sets out Couver’s responsibilities. You use the service on your organisation’s behalf. To the extent the law allows, Couver gives you no warranty and has no liability to you personally under these terms. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Namibia, unless your organisation’s agreement chooses another law.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the new version is posted on this page with the date it takes effect. This version is effective from 18 October 2026.
